I am finally back from Dallas Texas and it feels great to get home. Dallas is a great city with some pretty cool architecture. Everything is bigger in Texas. Even the scratch offs are bigger. I got a “badge of honor” $50 scratch off mainly just so I could say I did it. What was even cooler was the short little drive we took to Shreveport, Louisiana. The El Dorado casino was a blast and I stayed up till 8:00 am galmbling my heart out. I really wish they played something besides 80′s music though. I must have heard that damn rick rolled song a hundred times. If there is one thing a trip to the casino is good for (besides losing money) it is to realize how much money other people blow while playing casino games. While getting hosed at the blackjack tables I had a sort of “enlightenment”. Why don’t I promote casinos more efficiently?
There has to be some casino affiliates out there making an absolute killing. I am guessing that the chances of landing a whale are way better when you are promoting casinos vs. poker. I know some of you are thinking that it would be wrong to make money off a compulsive gambler, but they are going to gamble no matter what. Why not make some money off of them? At least all of their losses wont go straight to the casinos. Right?
I am interested to see how hard it will be to get some decent rankings for high converting casino related keywords. I have heard that there is much more spamming and scraping going on in the casino affiliate industry as well as a ton of CPA fraud. However, it must be worth it if so many people promote online casinos. I would love to land a whale or two on a rev share deal or even send a few players a day on a CPA deal of $200 per player. Needless to say I will be adding a whole lot of casino content to my next project. Any hard core casino affiliates feel free to chime in your experiences in the comments below.
To cap off this exciting week (and make up for the trip to the casino) I worked my usual Monday valet shift at the local hot spot. The night was pretty uneventful until one of our valets let some random guy drive off in someone else’s brand spanking new CL 600 V12 Mercedes (yea, the one that goes for around $140K). You should have seen the look on the guys face. It was like an episode of Punk’d except it was not a joke… at all. Turns out the guy who drove the car wasn’t even the owner. How is he gonna explain to his buddy that his $140K Mercedes got stolen? And also…. Who loans out a car like that to a buddy anyways? As if that wasn’t enough, there was also a lost set of keys. We actually got the stolen car situation resolved(somewhat, still no car) before we got the locksmith out there. Needless to say it was light outside before I even left the parking lot. Nothing like pulling an all nighter on a Monday to kick the week off just right. At least I can rest easy knowing that I was not the dumb ass who let some random joker ride out in someone else’s Benzo.
